Chelmsford, MA - September 27, 2007 - Datawatch Corporation (NASDAQ-CM: DWCH), a leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), today announces the immediate availability of Monarch Version 9, German edition. With Monarch V9, Datawatch builds on its acclaimed report mining and analysis solution by offering key new functionality such as faster Excel exporting, Microsoft SharePoint® collaboration, exporting to Open XML spreadsheets and support for Microsoft® Windows Vista™; all of which empower companies to further increase productivity by extracting maximum value from data that already exists within their organization.
“Germany is our third-largest and fastest-growing customer market and Europe’s largest economy with German spoken by an estimated 126 million people; not only in Germany, but also in Austria, Switzerland and other countries. What’s more, there are approximately 6,000 existing users of Monarch in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With the release of Monarch V9 German edition, we can capitalize on the opportunity to deliver the same market-leading solution that is already helping U.S.-based organizations gain a competitive advantage,” said John Kitchen, senior vice president and CMO for Datawatch. “We’re very pleased to meet the demands of our German speaking customers for the latest version of our world-leading report mining solution, including enhanced Excel functionality, better analytical power, collaborative tools, improved report mining and more.“
Monarch allows users to easily extract and export data from existing reports such as those generated from SAP and other critical systems—without programming—so that it can be analyzed in their native German language. Based on Datawatch surveys, more than 95 percent of Monarch customers use Monarch with Microsoft Excel. With this latest version of Monarch, users will benefit from the dramatically increased speed of Excel exports as well as Open XML spreadsheet support, which allow users to take full advantage of the new functionality and dramatically increased spreadsheet capacity of Excel 2007.
